🧪 Project Name
TL;DR: A while back when analyzing database structures we found so many views depending on other views. Got the idea to create indiehacker-style my own app and make an SaaS out of it.
Learned:
This was a great endeavour to learn a lot of skills. First time with Django in a bigger project, docker, CI/CD build pipelines, Amazon EC2, and parsing and visalizing complex network graphs with Python and D3 GraphViz.
Might add a pic of a “real” analysis as well later on, if I get the old build running…
Stack:
Django · Python · Docker · Amazon EC2 · Bitbucket · D3 GraphViz
Result:
Things are a bit complicated if you are also learning to build, to design a web page and to build a business. It is a lot more than just to build a solution to really create an SaaS - and I was a bit more defensive with my communications strategy, fearing someone could critizise me too much! What didn’t work out, though, is the SaaS. The naming could have been better, but there were some other tools at that time. I also, for the first time ever, tried to design a captivating landing page and show the solution to other indie hackers. But it gained no traction.
