TL;DR: What did I make, in one sentence?

Why:
I wanted to create a device which could be used as a tomato timer. But without sound, only with strong visuals.

Also I had the idea that the devices would be stackable in the future, and you could connect different ones, e.g. one for tomato timer, but also one for a coffee reminder, and one for another integration where for example a light would come up for new messages.

Learned:
Electronics and building a case for it are two separate problems which needed to be integrated.

Result:
The prototype had at least already the hashtag #hackerbricks in the back. And in the front there were touch buttons where you could start, reset and pause the device. But as you can see, it never made it past the prototype stage, and also I never got around into creating more stackable components. Things were just too complicated alltogether, and I concluded the experiment.
